Osh....... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII i :•> STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 339 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, <br /> HIGHWAYS DIVISION FOR BUS STOP SIGNAGE IN PUNA. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, Highways Division supports pedestrian <br /> and vehicular safety by providing repairs, construction, maintenance and improvements of <br /> County roadways, bridges and more; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency has increased its service in the Puna area, and has <br /> honored flag-stopping in Hawaiian Beaches which cause multiple stops, delays in bus service, <br /> and increases incidents of vehicle repairs to buses servicing the area; and <br /> WHEREAS, twenty-five designated bus stops with signage throughout Hawaiian <br /> Beaches will mitigate delays in service, decrease repair costs, and cultivate a safer and consistent <br /> public transit system in the Puna area; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Public Works to purchase bus stop signage for installation in Hawaiian <br /> Beaches in Puna; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,114.86 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,114.86 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.801.5801.38 Department of Public Works $2,114.86 <br /> Trans To Highway Fd <br /> 341 Misc.
