4%.. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -•f.4\ ' /_• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �Tt OF•N�'•� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 343 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING <br /> ATTORNEY TO ASSIST WITH IMPLEMENTING THE COURTHOUSE DOG <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney seeks to mitigate emotional <br /> challenges that victims and witnesses encounter throughout the judicial process and to treat each <br /> invidividual with compassion, sensitivity, and respect; and <br /> WHEREAS, since 2003, the national Courthouse Dog Program has provided trained <br /> canines to comfort sexually abused children, victims of violent crimes, and traumatized <br /> witnesses in order to promote justice with compassion; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Proecuting Attorney is implementing the Courthouse Dog <br /> Program and will need funds to cover the expenses for the canines' food, supplies, medications, <br /> and veterinarian visits; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the Courthouse Dog Program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amounts are hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,287 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $3,287 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $727 <br /> Prosecuting Atty OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
