COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 363 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR <br /> AGREEMENT WITH HAWAIIAN TELCOM FOR INTEGRATED SERVICES DIGITAL <br /> NETWORK PRIMARY RATE INTERFACE SERVICE <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, general telephone service for the County of Hawaii is provided through three (3) <br /> Integrated Services Digital Network Primary Rate Interface (ISDN PRI) circuits which provides phone <br /> numbers and dial tone for over four hundred (400) unique phone numbers; and <br /> WHEREAS, our prior multi-year agreement has expired and we are currently being charged at a <br /> non-discounted rate; and <br /> WHEREAS, a multi-year agreement will result in a significant cost savings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a three (3) year agreement with Hawaiian <br /> Telcom to provide Integrated Services Digital Network Primary Rate Interface service in Hilo and at <br /> the West Hawaii Civic Center; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year agreement for ISDN PRI <br /> service as indicated above. <br />
