COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 409 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KAILUA VILLAGE <br /> BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, INC., FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br /> CONSTRUCTION/ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS FOR THE ALI`I DRIVE LIGHTING <br /> PROJECT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, Inc. (KVBID), is a <br /> 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a model sutainable community that is <br /> a better place to invest, work, live, and play; and <br /> WHEREAS, KVBID is in need of funding to develop a pedestrian-scale lighting plan <br /> with a thematic heritage design that improves the overall illumination within public spaces and <br /> celebrates historic and cultural landmarks in the Historic Kailua Village; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br /> relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Public Works to provide a grant to KVBID for the development of <br /> construction/engineering documents for the Ali`i Drive lighting project; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $30,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101 91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $30,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.801.5801.38 Transfer to Highway Fund $30,000 <br /> (Signals & St Lights, Misc. Contract Ser <br /> 020.281.5281.32 —Ali`i Drive Lighting Project) <br />
