JMtY OF M��1 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII �t1 OF.NF'.i RESOLUTION NO. 39- S :1.4 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO CHILD & FAMILY SERVICE TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE EAST HAWAII DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTER. WHEREAS, Child & Family Service (CFS), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), operates two domestic abuse shelters in Hawaii County which assist victims of domestic violence by providing advocacy, safety planning, and access to services such as counseling, temporary lodging and food, tutoring for children unable to attend school, obtaining temporary restraining orders, housing, financial aid, and more; and WHEREAS, the domestic abuse shelters operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and need assistance with providing basic supplies such as blankets, shoes, school supplies, and hygiene items to victims and their children; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to CFS to purchase supplies for the East Hawaii Domestic Abuse Shelter; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: GENERAL AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,712.14 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $1,712.14 CREDITED TO: 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $1,712.14 Prosecuting Atty.
