JMtY OF M��1 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �t1 OF.NF'.i <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 39- S :1.4 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO CHILD & FAMILY <br /> SERVICE TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE EAST HAWAII DOMESTIC ABUSE <br /> SHELTER. <br /> WHEREAS, Child & Family Service (CFS), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), operates two <br /> domestic abuse shelters in Hawaii County which assist victims of domestic violence by <br /> providing advocacy, safety planning, and access to services such as counseling, temporary <br /> lodging and food, tutoring for children unable to attend school, obtaining temporary restraining <br /> orders, housing, financial aid, and more; and <br /> WHEREAS, the domestic abuse shelters operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a <br /> week and need assistance with providing basic supplies such as blankets, shoes, school supplies, <br /> and hygiene items to victims and their children; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to CFS to purchase supplies for the East <br /> Hawaii Domestic Abuse Shelter; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,712.14 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $1,712.14 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $1,712.14 <br /> Prosecuting Atty. OCE <br /> 115 Misc. Contract Services <br /> (CFS East Hawaii Domestic Abuse Shelter) <br />
