No. 351-14 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:39 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 351-14, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 351-14, transmitted by Council Member Brenda J. Ford, via Communication No. 763 <br /> dated March 11, 2014, authorizes the Director of Finance to enter into negotiations for the acquisition of <br /> the Ka`u parcels with Tax Map Keys: 9-5-011:001, 9-5-011:004, 9-5-011:005, and 9-5-011:006 in the <br /> Ahupua•a of Kaunamano; and Tax Map Key: 9-5-012:001 in the Ahupua`a of Poupouwela, pursuant to <br /> Chapter 2, Article 42, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended). <br /> The Kaunamano properties (1,264.395 acres) are listed as a key priority for purchase in the 2012 Annual <br /> Report of the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission. <br /> During the March 31, 2014 meeting, Council Member Ford postponed the measure to the next Finance <br /> Committee meeting to be held on April 15, 2014.
