JNYYIos M� <br /> 40•��� ��ilQi <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4115 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR <br /> THE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAMS SERVING COUNCIL <br /> DISTRICT 9. <br /> WHEREAS, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers are a critical <br /> and much needed first responder support team trained to execute safe and effective emergency <br /> response by assisting Civil Defense; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are 19 CERT volunteers in Council District 9 prepared to assess <br /> damage after a disaster, extinguish small fires, and provide first aid where needed; as well as <br /> coordinate with and assist other government and non-government agencies involved in <br /> emergency preparedness; and <br /> WHEREAS, Council District 9 CERT is important both for intra-district wide <br /> emergency preparedness as well as for island-wide emergency preparedness; and <br /> WHEREAS, CERT is requesting funds for the purchase of supplies including first aid <br /> supplies, two-way radios, generator, tents, tools, waterhoses, spigot keys, batteries and office <br /> equipment and supplies; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to <br /> the Civil Defense Agency for the purchase of supplies and equipment to support CERT <br /> operations in Council District 9; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $10,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC - Contingency Relief $10,500 <br />
