The purpose of this ordinance is to rectify an unintended revision to Section 25-4-51 of the Hawaii County Code where the enactment of Ordinance No. 13-95 inadvertently repealed amendments to Section 25-4-51 contained in Ordinance No. 12-91 regarding funeral homes, funeral services,mortuaries and crematoriums. This draft bill restores the provisions of Ordinance No. 12-91. The Commission voted to forward a favorable recommendation to the County Council on the request. The draft bill is attached for your favorable consideration. We have also enclosed a copy of the Planning Director's Background and Recommendation for your information.
