CPJ�tV Of M�i <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII _• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �rE cf•M�.M <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3 9 4 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOPE SERVICES <br /> HAWAII, INC., TO PAY TUITION FOR CHILDREN RESIDING AT NA KAHUA <br /> HALE O ULU WINI TO ATTEND THE 2014 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting the 2014 Summer <br /> Fun Program at Kekuaokalani Gymnasium from June 9 through July 18, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii developed Nd Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini ("Ulu Wini") <br /> which provides both transitional and permanent, low-income housing, and the children residing at <br /> Ulu Wini are in need of funds to pay tuition to attend the 2014 Summer Fun Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is in <br /> charge of operating Ulu Wini; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., to <br /> pay tuition for the children residing at Ulu Wini to attend the 2014 Summer Fun Program at <br /> Kekuaokalani Gymnasium; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
