COUNTY OF HAWAII • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> i>•6F'M►r <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 49- (; 1 4 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) FOR THE PURCHASE OF CITRIC ACID TO <br /> REDUCE THE INFESTATION OF COQUI FROGS IN NORTH AND SOUTH KONA, <br /> KA`U, AND THE GREATER VOLCANO AREAS. <br /> WHEREAS, certain communities of Council Districts 6, 7, and 8 have experienced an <br /> infestation of coqui frogs and are challenged with the noise and nuisance caused by these frogs; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, coqui frogs produce negative impacts to Hawaii Island's economy, <br /> environment, and quality of life; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development will collaborate with the <br /> Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council to use funds to provide citric acid at a <br /> reasonable cost; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Research and Development to purchase citric acid for the North and South <br /> Kona, Ka`u, and the greater Volcano sections of Council Districts 6, 7, and 8; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $3,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.22 Research and Development $3,000 <br /> Agriculture R&D OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
