V OF k <br /> ��Jtgi <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �>I OF•N,i <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 412 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH <br /> THE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM ROUNDUP EVENT. <br /> WHEREAS,Neighborhood Watch Program helps to identify and report suspicious and <br /> possibly criminal activity within their communities, providing citizens with an opportunity to <br /> contribute to safer neighborhoods and improving the quality of life; and <br /> WHEREAS, active and significant participation from well-informed and equipped <br /> residents is a key component to the success of the Neighborhood Watch Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the various neighborhood watch groups in the Puna district plan to stage a <br /> Roundup Event in the fall of 2014 at Herbert C. Shipman Park in an effort to recruit participants <br /> and provide organizational guides, informational tools and gear that are used in the <br /> Neighborhood Watch Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to <br /> the Civil Defense Agency to assist with expenses associated with the Neighborhood Watch <br /> Program Roundup Event; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />
