J�tV Os M�!b <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> +r�tt Of'M►'�' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 417 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE KAILAPA <br /> COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR <br /> THEIR OUTREACH EFFORTS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Kailapa Community Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> that oversees the Kailapa Community Resource Center(KCRC); and <br /> WHEREAS, KCRC represents a collaborative effort to serve the needs of the greater <br /> community of Kawaihae, as well as to support the physical, mental, spiritual, and cultural health <br /> and well-being of its residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, two computers and supplies are essential to the Kailapa Community <br /> Association's outreach efforts to inform the greater Kawaihae community of KCRC's programs <br /> and community events; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to the Kailapa Community <br /> Association for the purchase of two computers and supplies for their outreach efforts; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
