V OF COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII gTE•C f.N'i RESOLUTION NO. 418 14 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KAILUA VILLAGE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, INC., FOR THE 2014 KAILUA-KONA COMMUNITY INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS DISPLAY. WHEREAS, the 2014 Kailua-Kona Community Independence Day Fireworks Display will take place on July 4, 2014 to celebrate America's great day of independence with traditional fireworks, to bring the community together at a safe venue to celebrate freedom; and WHEREAS, Kailua Village Business Improvement District, Inc. (KVBID) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and cosponsors the 2014 Kailua-Kona Community Independence Day Fireworks Display; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to KVBID to pay for fireworks for the 2014 Kailua-Kona Community Independence Day Fireworks Display; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: GENERAL AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,170 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $1,170 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,170 P&R Adm OCE 115 Misc. Contract Services (2014 Kailua-Kona Independence Day Fireworks Display)
