These amendments are being proposed in an effort to lower the speed limit <br /> to 30 mph and increase safety through a portion of Kealakekua. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256, Schedule 4. 30 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br /> be amended by revising existing item: <br /> (8) [ - HAWAII BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11), from a point five <br /> thousand one hundred feet SOUTH OF it the setithefly dir-eetio fte the terminus of <br /> the State Highway in Honalo to A POINT TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE FEET <br /> NORTH OF HAUKAPILA STREET the beginning of the State Highway in Captain <br /> Gook. <br /> SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256, Schedule 4. 30 mile per hour <br /> limit, subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), be amended by <br /> adding new item and renumbering as required: <br /> O HAWAII BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11). FROM A POINT ONE THOUSAND <br /> FEET SOUTH OF HALE KEEKEE PLACE TO THE BEGINNING OF THE <br /> STATE HIGHWAY IN CAPTAIN COOK. <br /> SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. <br /> In printing this ordinance, the brackets,bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br /> included. <br />
