More specifically, the amendment will require the Planning Director or <br /> representative to conduct a site visit of property0es) affected by a proposed subdivision action to verify <br /> accuracy of information shown on the preliminary plat map or any omissions required by the Subdivision <br /> Code, and site conditions that could result in deleterious effects to general welfare and health of the <br /> community. <br /> The Commission voted to forward an unfavorable recommendation to the County Council on the request. <br /> However, the Commission did not include the Planning Director's suggestion of amending the <br /> Subdivision Code to require that both the preliminary and final plat maps only be prepared by a licensed <br /> engineer or surveyor in their recommendation. <br /> We have enclosed a copy of the Planning Director's Background and Recommendation and transcript of <br /> the hearing for your information. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> r <br /> , 1 <br /> Thomas J.
