,•J�tYOFq�, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII T STATE OF HAWAII <br /> tt p.,11►,�_ <br /> BILL NO. 203 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1.4 47 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24-280, <br /> SCHEDULE 28 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), <br /> RELATING TO NO PARKING AT ANYTIME. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is being proposed based on a request from <br /> the Chancellor at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. The goal is to eliminate on-street parking in the <br /> subject area to prevent the random and potentially dangerous crossing of W. Kawili Street to get to <br /> the UHH campus. The plan by the university is to have all students who drive to school park on <br /> campus. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28. No <br /> parking at anytime, Paragraph(c) South Hilo be amended by adding new item and renumbering as <br /> required: <br /> ( ) W. Kawili Street, from W. Puainako Street to Kapiolani Street <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets,bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
