J�11(Of of <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �r�os•Mr,•P <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 441 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF 47 LOGS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, Edwin DeLuz Trucking and Gravel LLC is donating 47 logs, <br /> valued at $12,000 which includes hauling costs, to the Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these logs will be utilized as barriers at several County park <br /> facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
