4OJ�tY,OS N,,Y,•. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> OF <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 461 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> MONETARY CONTRIBUTION FROM NA LEO `O HAWAII, INC. <br /> FOR PRODUCTION COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE <br /> VIDEOTAPING OF COUNCIL MEETINGS <br /> WHEREAS,Na Leo `O Hawai`i, Inc. is contributing $37,500 for production costs <br /> associated with the videotaping of Council meetings; and <br /> WHEREAS, their contribution will ensure continued broadcasts of County <br /> Council meetings on Na Leo, which is very important for an informed citizenry; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai`i County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal <br /> property; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai`i County Code <br /> states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall <br /> within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance may be accepted by <br /> resolution that is approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk recommends the acceptance of this <br /> contribution; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai`i County Charter and <br />
