J�SV Os M1 <br /> L�J <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII "i6s T).;,./i•': STATE OF HAWAII <br /> r• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 463 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KEAUKAHA ONE <br /> YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOR ITS KEAUKAHA YOUTH PADDLING PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, Keaukaha One Youth Development is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> that assists youths in Keaukaha, Pana`ewa and other communities with programs and activities <br /> that benefit the students by providing safe and healthy activities for the youths, including the <br /> Keaukaha Youth Paddling Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Keaukaha Youth Paddling Program provides a safe, secure, and <br /> supervised environment which encourages the youthful participants to develop paddling skills; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Parks and Recreation's goals is to support youth <br /> programs and activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program,project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Keaukaha One Youth Development for <br /> its Keaukaha Youth Paddling Program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $9,000 <br />
