For ten years I have wr() to the Internal Revenue Service ()ing for proof 14
•
that my participation in U.S. tax system is mandatory. I was—did that "the
Constitutional "arguments" [sic] I was raising, "...don't carry much weight ".
According to the Law of the Land in the "Republic...under God" of my
birth , reasoned inquiry carries a lot of weight. In addition to other issues, I
raised questions of "direct taxation, xithout apportionment" and "involuntary
servitude ", which are fundamentally anti - Constitutional. 21
The improperly ratified, and therefore legally impotent 16th Amendment, was
invoked as justification for finding me "guilty" of asking morally unjustifiable
questions. The first judge I asked had the legal acumen to go off the record, before
assuring me, very quietly turning away the court microphone, that payment of
income taxes isn't voluntary. I believe he is logically and Lawfully mistaken.
While I understand the theoretical necessity of taxation in an economy of
increasing scarcity, I consider excise taxes on goods and services the only
equitable way of collecting money from sovereign individuals, while ensuring
our right of individual accountability. I will not be conscripted into funding
economically motivated, terminal aggression against man and Nature.
As a consciously evolving individual, alarmed by the actions of the U.S.
government, I understand it is my responsibility to actively oppose policies I
recognize as being inhumane and extinctionistic. As an ecologist, I know that
prohibition of Cannabis will eventually kill the Earth, just as the lack of EFAs
in my diet would eventually kill me.
Only when people are free to grow "every green herb ", and all non - violent
Cannabis "Green Prisoners" of War are released from jail (and remunerated
for injustices heaped upon them, and their loved ones), would I even consider
voluntarily contributing the fruits of my labor, in hemp, to a government
that must be realistic enough to revive functional respect for Natural Law.
The Right to Eat
Because I am traveling outside of the United States, I am able to eat fresh,
fertile, Cannabis everyday. The biodynamically grown seeds, leaves, and
flowers I blend into hot herbal teas, are full of essential, living cellular
nutrition. For the first time in my life, I am able to pursue the "highest
attainable standard of physical health ", aspired to in the United Nations
Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. 32
It feels to me that a steady diet of `marijuana'
helps to reverse the degenerative aging process.
That's how it feels when I eat the seeds, roots, leaves and flowers blended
together. When I don't eat them, I feel sluggish and need more sleep at night.
How many more of our friends and family will die prematurely of cancer, go
blind from glaucoma, suffer needlessly with arthritic, degenerative aging, fall
dead from high blood pressure, cancer, diabetes... before people can harvest
their own fresh, fertile, organic Cannabis?
No one needs a doctor's prescription to eat. 51
"Drug Fear" Politics
Cannabis has been prized for centuries as an essential, versatile, and
environmentally beneficial crop. It is intolerable, blatant abuse of politiconomic
power to prohibit cultivation of the most potentially abundant, nutritious, and
useful agricultural resource on this planet. Instead of allowing Cannabis to
compete in a truly free global market, chemicals, nuclear technology,
punishment, war and "drug fear" politics have been institutionalized by a
profiteering bureaucracy, feasting on its own children.
