RULES OF PROCEDURE <br />OF THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />Rule 1 <br />COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />1. The council shall hold regular meetings for the <br />transaction of business in the County Councilroom on the <br />first and third Wednesday of each month or on the following <br />day if such Wednesday be a public holiday. <br />2. Special meetings may be called at any time by the <br />council chairperson or a majority of the council in <br />accordance with the provision of Section 13-20(c) of the <br />County Charter. <br />3. The council chairperson shall be authorized to <br />schedule or reschedule the time, date and/or subject matter <br />of its regular or special meetings and to publish public <br />notice upon the giving of six (6) days notice to the public <br />and Council members. The chairperson shall promptly notify <br />all Council members and the county clerk by written <br />memorandum as to the scheduling or rescheduling of regular <br />or special meetings. <br />12/07/98 <br />
