IV OF ke <br /> Jigs <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,TE OF toes <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 480 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KANU 0 KA `AINA <br /> LEARNING OHANA TO PURCHASE UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT FOR WAIMEA <br /> ATHLETICS. <br /> WHEREAS, Kanu o ka `Aina Learning Ohana is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> oversees Waimea Athletics; and <br /> WHEREAS, Waimea Athletics provides a wide range of community-based recreational <br /> and sports programs including football, baseball, and soccer; and <br /> WHEREAS, participating in outdoor activities provides physical, social, emotional, and <br /> intellectual benefits; and <br /> WHEREAS, Waimea Athletics needs funds to purchase uniforms and equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Kanu o ka `Aina Learning Ohana <br /> to purchase uniforms and equipment for Waimea Athletics; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
