o c-)
To whom it may concern:
Time line of Lehua Lane conditions:
March 23, 2012, DOT conditions approved. New road surface on I ' -=
Lehua Lane, from Hwy 11, to project intersection.
June 17, 2014, Planning Commission condition F agreed to. "Direc> r
access to and from the Hawaii Belt Highway shall be prohibited.
Access to the subject project site shall be restricted to Lehua Lane,
which shall be improved with a minimum non-dedicable pavement
width of.24 feet along its entire length from its intersection with
Hawaii Belt Highway to and including its intersection with Keaka
Parkway."
July 17, 2014, met with DOT, DWS, and HOVE concerning the DPW
accepting Lehua Lane as a county road. The meeting result was
that the transfer was possible, but not probable. We were advised
to stay with the June 17, 2014 condition we had agreed to.
August 1, 2014, this letter is generated to show the agreement between
HOVE RMC and Lehua Court on the treatment of Lehua Lane.
The agreement is as follows:
Lehua Lane will be cleaned, filled and compacted as necessary, to
prepare the roadway for an overall 2" new surface topcoat. This
includes shoulder preparation. A new surface of oil Chip Mix, to
match subdivision roads, will be installed, 24 feet wide, from Hwy
11 to Keaka Parkway. New stripes will provide for a widened road
of 12 feet per lane with three feet of shoulder on each side.
As per the conditions above, this will be the plan as Lehua Court moves
forward. The Hawaii State Department of Transportation, Hawaii
County Planning Commission, Hawaii County Department of
Public Works, and Hawaiian Ocean View Road Corporation have
agreed to this plan.
fe.
William Stockton for: Laura Foster for:
Lehua Court HOVE RMC
Nol' -1 3 -1•z
Ref.
