Mr. Ikeda is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. <br /> He was employed by the County of Hawaii from 1992 to 2012, serving as a member of <br /> the Hawaii County Council from 2004 to 2012. <br /> Mr. Ikeda is the past president of Kaumana Elementary School and past treasurer of <br /> Hilo Intermediate School. He is also a former member of the Hawaii Island Red Cross <br /> Disaster Team. He states that he is a Democrat.
