REQUEST: <br /> Multi-year agreement for High Speed DIA Internet connection for West Hawaii Civic Center at a cost savings <br /> compared to a single year agreement. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> As our the County requirements for Internet connectivity continue to increase the Department of Information <br /> Technology would like to enter into an agreement to provide 25 MB Direct Internet Access line to provide <br /> Internet connectivity directly at the West Hawaii Civic Center. A 12 month agreement would cost $3,548 per <br /> month while a 36 month agreement would cost $2,207 per month and will save the County $1,341 per <br /> month, or a total of$16,092 per year for the 36 month agreement. <br /> In addition to increasing internet bandwidth for the County of Hawaii, this connection will be utilized as a <br /> backup to the fiber based network between East and West Hawaii County locations. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: / <br /> pa ent Head <br />
