The apparatus to be replaced at Central Fire Station is 17 <br /> years old, with approximately 130,000 miles, while the apparatus to be replaced at the Paradise <br /> Fire Station is 20 years old, with approximately 200,000 miles. The age and high mileage of <br /> both fire trucks results in increased maintenance costs, down time and unreliability.
