-00osh;' <br /> • • �illilyj •. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII • �''" '���• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • 4 Oi.M. <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 514 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF FIVE (5) BUSES FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu is donating five (5) retired buses <br /> to the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency with an estimated value of$1,850 <br /> each; and <br /> WHEREAS, the buses will be used to provide island-wide public transportation <br /> and to increase the County's spare bus ratio; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
