COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII• •NF% RESOLUTION NO. 524 14 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAII ISLAND UNITED WAY FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATED TO THE CLEANUP AND REMOVAL OF DEBRIS DUE TO TROPICAL STORM ISELLE. WHEREAS, Hawai`i Island United Way is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that invests in Hawai`i Island to build stronger, healthier communities; and WHEREAS, the arrival of Tropical Storm Iselle during August 7-8, 2014, brought damaging winds, flooding, and a storm surge to Hawai`i Island; and WHEREAS, Hawai`i Island United Way has assisted with expenses related to the cleanup and removal of debris created by the arrival of Tropical Storm Iselle; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of Environmental Management to provide a grant to Hawai`i Island United Way for the reimbursement of expenses related to the cleanup and removal of debris due to Tropical Storm Iselle; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: GENERAL AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $25,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $25,000 CREDITED TO: 010.801.5801.35 Department of Environmental Management $25,000 Trans to Solid Waste Fund 341 Misc. Charges (Grant to Hawai`i Island United Way)
