J�SVIOf N,.'' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII• <br /> •NF% <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 524 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAII ISLAND <br /> UNITED WAY FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATED TO THE <br /> CLEANUP AND REMOVAL OF DEBRIS DUE TO TROPICAL STORM ISELLE. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i Island United Way is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> invests in Hawai`i Island to build stronger, healthier communities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the arrival of Tropical Storm Iselle during August 7-8, 2014, brought <br /> damaging winds, flooding, and a storm surge to Hawai`i Island; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i Island United Way has assisted with expenses related to the <br /> cleanup and removal of debris created by the arrival of Tropical Storm Iselle; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Environmental Management to provide a grant to Hawai`i Island United Way <br /> for the reimbursement of expenses related to the cleanup and removal of debris due to Tropical <br /> Storm Iselle; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $25,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $25,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.801.5801.35 Department of Environmental Management $25,000 <br /> Trans to Solid Waste Fund <br /> 341 Misc. Charges <br /> (Grant to Hawai`i Island United Way) <br />
