COUNTY OF HAWAII •* STATE OF HAWAII 7r� OF•M►•• RESOLUTION NO. 537 14 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING /APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE NORTH KOHALA COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER FOR THE "GOT POND" ANTI - BULLYING CAMPAIGN. WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that sponsors and supports individuals or groups who are creating projects that have the potential to enhance and sustain the North Kohala community; and WHEREAS, Kohala Unupa`a is an `aina- based, afterschool program, which is one of the projects of the North Kohala Community Resource Center; and WHEREAS, Kohala Unupa`a will work together with Kohala Elementary, Middle, and High Schools to promote an anti - bullying campaign with the theme "Got Pono "; and WHEREAS, the campaign will include poster and bumper sticker contests for students and will offer prizes in four age groups; and WHEREAS, a grand -prize winner for both poster and bumper sticker will be selected to be mass printed with the winning posters placed on display in the schools and community and winning bumper stickers printed for distribution; and WHEREAS, the campaign will culminate in October 2014 in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness month; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2- 139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department /agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the North Kohala Community Resource Center for the "Got Pono" anti - bullying campaign; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred /appropriated as set forth below:
