COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />526 14 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br />YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EXISTING HOUSING DIVISION OF THE OFFICE OF <br />HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br />other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br />more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development ("OHCD") currently <br />rents office space from Kaneshiro & Sons Enterprise, Ltd., through Resolution No. 192-04; and <br />WHEREAS, OHCD still needs the office space and wishes to extend its lease; and <br />WHEREAS, by extending the lease for an additional five (5) years, the rent is to be set at <br />$28,468.44 per year, for premises located at 1990 Kino`ole Street, Hilo, Hawaii, from <br />February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2020; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for OHCD for premises <br />located at 1990 Kino`ole Street, Hilo, Hawaii. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br />obligations of the County under the terms of the lease agreement. <br />
