+SV Oi H ' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •_�.� '''''/:• STATE OF HAWAIGI <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 532 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAWAII <br /> COUNTY ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF CITRIC <br /> ACID TO HELP CONTROL THE COQUI FROG INFESTATION IN DISTRICT 1. <br /> WHEREAS, District 1 has experienced an infestation of coqui frogs and is challenged <br /> with the noise and nuisance that theses frogs are causing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the coqui frogs negatively affect Hawai`i Island's economy, environment <br /> and quality of life; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development will collaborate with the <br /> Hawai`i County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) to use funds to provide citric acid at a <br /> reasonable cost; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to HCEOC to purchase citric <br /> acid for District 1; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $2,500 <br />
