' !i• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 547 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING <br /> ATTORNEY TO ASSIST WITH IMPLEMENTING THE COURTHOUSE DOG <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney seeks to mitigate emotional <br /> challenges that victims and witnesses encounter throughout the judicial process and to treat each <br /> invidividual with compassion, sensitivity, and respect; and <br /> WHEREAS, since 2003, the national Courthouse Dog Program has provided trained <br /> canines to comfort sexually abused children, victims of violent crimes, and traumatized <br /> witnesses in order to promote justice with compassion; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to <br /> the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to help cover expenses associated with implementing the <br /> Courthouse Dog Program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amounts are hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $3,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $ 812 <br /> Prosecuting Atty OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
