COUNTY OF HAWAII � �=:'.%/ •` STATE OF HAWAI I "16 os RESOLUTION NO. 562 14 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAMAKUA HEALTH CENTER FOR THE 2014 HAMAKUA KOHALA HEALTH FAIR. WHEREAS, the 2014 Hamakua Kohala Health Fair ("Health Fair") is a campaign to promote wellness and education; and WHEREAS, the Hamakua Health Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is coordinating the Health Fair with the help of Hawai`i County Department of Parks and Recreation as a co-sponsor; and WHEREAS, the main goal of the Health Fair is to provide all participating vendors with the opportunity to reach out to as many people in need as possible; and WHEREAS, members of the community will provide food, education, and activities at the Honoka`a gymnasium and park; and WHEREAS, an insurance booth will also be available that will encourage uninsured individuals to sign up for healthcare coverage; and WHEREAS, funds are needed to help with expenses for advertising, refreshments, and activities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to the Hamakua Health Center for the 2014 Hamakua Kohala Health Fair; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:
