COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 578 14 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF FIRE RESCUE EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT'S FIRE RESCUE DIVISION WHEREAS, the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation is donating Fire Rescue Equipment to the Hawai'i Fire Department; and WHEREAS, this equipment consists of the following: Quantitv Description Cost 30 Carabiners $ 1,140.00 1 GPS Chartplotter 1,299.99 2 Hiking boot dryer 198.00 1(each) Prussik cord (100' green, 90' red) 142.50 1(each) Tubular Webbing (80' green, 160' yellow, 315.00 200' blue, 260' orange) 1 Depth finder and transducer 2,234.36 30 Gore-tex hiking pants 7,500 4 Davis Instruments Doel-Fin Hydrofoil 126.60 18 BCD Duo Alert 1,710 15 CMC Fin Belt 705 30 CMC Steel Locking D Carabiner 1,170 15 CMC Princeton League 100 (handheld light) 749.85 TOTAL: $ 17,291.30 and WHEREAS, this equipment, with a total value of $17,291.30, will be used by the Hawaii Fire Department's Fire Rescue Division; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i accepts this donation.
