Mvlos Mvr <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />Tf OF •M►'•M <br />RESOLUTION NO. 603 14 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING /APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE PAUL MORGAN <br />FOUNDATION FOR THE PAHOA `GHANA FUN DAY. <br />WHEREAS, the Paul Morgan Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable <br />organization; and <br />WHEREAS, in recent months the people of Puna have endured an unprecedented string <br />of natural disasters from the land, the sea and the sky in the form of a tropical storm and a lava <br />flow; and <br />WHEREAS, the Paul Morgan Foundation is organizing a Pahoa `Ghana Fun Day, <br />scheduled for January that will celebrate the resiliency of the Puna community; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2- 139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department /agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to the Paul Morgan Foundation <br />for Pahoa `Ghana Fun Day; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred /appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk- Council SVC — Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />
