COUNTY OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. S2 1 STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A SELF-CONTAINED ICE MACHINE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION WHEREAS, the Queen Lili`uokalani Children's Center is donating one (1) Manitowock self-contained ice machine, valued at $3,050 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, this ice machine will be utilized exclusively at the Kawananakoa Gym in Keaukaha to support athletic -based events; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
