COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 53 1 %5 - <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br />DONATION OF $5,000 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Carol Ann Crocket is donating $5,000 to the Department of Parks and <br />Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the beautification of the West Hawai'i Veterans <br />Cemetery; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that the <br />Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br />Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai'i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br />securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br />Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br />donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br />this donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br />Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai'i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i <br />accepts this donation. <br />
