Miura <br />Deputy Director <br />o� <br />%M <br />%0 :;a <br />)::K <br />N <br />The State Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, is providing an <br />additional $12,000 to the Hawaii County Police Department's Department of Health — <br />Tobacco Sting program. The grant funds will be used to support the Hawaii County <br />Police Department's efforts to prevent the sale of tobacco to minors. In the current fiscal <br />year's budget, $12,000 is appropriated for this grant. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br />additional funds into the Police Department's Department of Health — Tobacco Sting <br />program account, and bringing the total grant appropriation to $24,000. <br />The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br />review, and be placed on the May 19, 2015 Council Agenda in order to complete this <br />transaction during the current fiscal year.
