REQUEST: <br />Council approval is requested to receive a gracious donation from Yurihama Prefecture of Japan, Sister City <br />of the County of Hawaii, in the total sum of $17,586.55 ($8,032.77 sent on March 10, 2015; and $9,553.78 <br />sent on March 19, 2015). <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />As a gesture of friendship, concern and goodwill, Honorable Masamichi Miyawaki, Mayor of Yurihama, <br />Japan, has transferred funds to the County of Hawaii as a gracious donation from his government and the <br />people of Yurihama.
