COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 7TH Cf•Npi :. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 213 15 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE CONVEX <br /> MIRRORS. <br /> WHEREAS, sight distance is the length of road surface which a driver can see with an <br /> acceptable level of clarity, and insufficient sight distance is a significant factor in roadway <br /> crashes and many other near collisions; and <br /> WHEREAS, insufficient sight distance is sometimes generated at private driveways <br /> along entrances to County roadways; and <br /> WHEREAS, when all other means have been taken to alleviate a sight distance problem, <br /> including, but not limited to, relocation of driveways, cutting vegetation, removing obstructions, <br /> and excavating slopes, and a sight distance problem still exists, the placement of a convex mirror <br /> may help to improve driveway sight distance; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Public Works for the purchase of three convex mirrors; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $900 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $900 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.801.5801.38 Department of Public Works $900 <br /> Transfer to Highway Fund <br /> 341 Misc. Charges <br /> (Traffic Signs & Markings/Highway <br /> Materials/Roadway Safety Mirrors) <br />
