The grant funds will be used to conduct home <br /> safety assessments with individuals identified as at-risk for falls and to refer individuals <br /> to prevention services that include medication review, exercise programs and home <br /> modification services. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this <br /> $3,360 Fall Prevention/Home Safety program grant. <br /> The Hawai`i Fire Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance <br /> Committee, and be placed on the August 19, 2015 Council Agenda in order to expedite <br /> the receipt of these funds.
