Infrastructure: Presently HPP has substandard infrastructure capacity for its population levels <br /> to maintain public safety and accommodate growth that has occurred and will be occurring. <br /> Monies: Our only source of income at this time is from road maintenance fees charged to <br /> owners. Our challenge is to have the level of service increase and mirror the level of annual <br /> assessments/taxation by county and state governments. <br /> Natural Hazards: This area is vulnerable to natural hazards such as lava flows, hurricanes, <br /> tsunamis, and earthquakes. Eradication efforts of invasive species, such as albizia trees, fire <br /> ants, etc., add to the growing challenges already facing our community. <br /> Zoning: The subdivision is presently zoned as agricultural with the exception of the larger <br /> parcels which are zoned 0. Legal issues such as eminent domain, deed restrictions, ordinances vs <br /> resolutions, commercial zoning, and special permits will need professional consultation. <br /> A <br />
