COUNTY OF HAWAII , :;_ STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 994 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO INITIATE AN AMENDMENT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY <br />CHARTER (1991) RELATING TO THE POWERS OF THE COUNTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Article II of the Hawaii County Charter is amended by adding a new <br />section to read as follows: <br />SECTION 2-3. POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS: Whenever permitted by State <br />law. the council by Ordinance may create political entities within the County, <br />assign them such powers and duties as are appropriate and demarcate the <br />,geographical boundaries of such entities. <br />SECTION 2. New materials are underscored. In printing this ordinance, the <br />underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 3.
