COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 255 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO INITIATE AN AMENDMENT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY <br />CHARTER (199 1) RELATING TO THE POWERS OF THE COUNTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Article V, Chapter 4. Section 5-4.1 ofthe Hawaii County Charter is amended as follows: <br />Section 5-4.1 Organization. There shall be a planning department consisting of a planning <br />director, planning commission(,j), and the necessary staff. The council by ordinance may create <br />such planning commissions within the County assim them such powers and duties as are <br />appropriate and demarcate the geographical boundaries of such entities. <br />SECTION 2. New materials are underscored. In printing this ordnance, the underscoring need <br />not be included. <br />SECTION 3.
