BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Hawaii County Police Department will receive support in the form of grant funding from the State <br /> Department of Transportation Highway Safety Division, which is providing a grant to purchase a Leica Scan <br /> Station PS30 with assessories and training. This equipment will reduce the time it takes to reopen the <br /> roadway after a fatality investigation from 6 hours to 3 hours.
