The grant <br /> funds will be used to increase the number of officers trained in traffic crash <br /> reconstruction and other traffic crash related courses and towards funding for a Crash <br /> Data Retrieval Unit. In the current fiscal year's budget, $62,800 is appropriated for this <br /> grant. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br /> additional funds into the HCPD Traffic Investigation Program account, and bringing the <br /> total grant appropriation to $71,500. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Hauoli Aiona of the Hawai`i <br /> County Police Department at 961-2273. <br /> Deanna S.
