BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Hawaii County Police Department receives continued support in the form of grant funding from The <br /> State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division which is used to <br /> continuouly update personnel in forensic science training and purchse updated equipment in the field of <br /> forensic science. <br /> Reimbursement for cost only includes travel cost and equipment purchase: Per Diem rates for interisland <br /> and out of state travel; hotel overage costs; air/ground transportation; registration/tuition/workshop fees and <br /> Hawaii interisland/interagency forensic services training. <br /> Note: <br /> We request that this resolution be waived from Finance Committee and placed on the next council agenda in <br /> order to expedite execution of contract. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: DEC 3 1 2015 <br /> Department Head <br />
