No. 599/Bill No. 123 PLACE: Council Chambers Hilo, Hawai`i TIME: 2:15 p.m. Council Chair and Members Hawai`i County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 123, reports as follows: Bill No. 123,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 599, dated December 16, 2015, amends Ordinance No. 15-58, as amended, relating to public improvements and financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. This measure adds the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) Facilities/ Maintenance & Renovation project for $500,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund—Fund Balance and/or Other Sources ($500,000). Funds would be used for general repairs and maintenance to all OHCD housing facilities. Finance Director Deanna Sako came forward and stated that this measure is to cover repairs and maintenance to OHCD's public office facilities. The vote was taken on the motion to approve, and passed with six ayes. Council Members Aaron Chung, Dru Kanuha, and Daniel Paleka were absent and excused. Pursuant to Article X, Section 10-6(e) of the Hawai'i County Charter, the Council, by ordinance adopted by affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the entire membership, may amend the capital budget for that year.
