No. 610 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:58 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 610, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 610, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated December 15, 2015, nominates <br /> Pauline Ke`ala Lee Loy to the Cultural Resources Commission for a term to expire December 31, 2020. <br /> Ms. Lee Loy was confirmed to serve on the commission in January 2015 to fill the remainder of a term <br /> to expire on December 31, 2015. Pursuant to Section 13-4(c) of the Hawai`i County Charter, Ms. Lee <br /> Loy is eligible to succeed herself for an additional full term. <br /> Charmaine Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi, introduced Ms. Lee Loy, who said that her <br /> first year on the commission was an "enlightening experience," and also that she was very honored to <br /> have the opportunity to serve. Ms. Poindexter, Ms. David, and Mr. Ilagan all spoke in favor of the <br /> nomination.
