No. 612/Bill No. 127 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:58 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 127, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 127, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 612 dated November 23, <br /> 2015, amends the State Land Use Boundaries Maps for the County of Hawai`i by changing the district <br /> classification from the Agricultural District to the Urban District at Pana`ewa House Lots, 2nd Series, <br /> South Hilo, Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map Key: 2-2-056:002. The applicants are Minoru Takehiro, Jr., <br /> and Katherine Takehiro, and the subject parcel covers approximately 2.66 acres. <br /> The applicants would like to subdivide the subject parcel into four residential and agricultural lots <br /> consisting of a minimum of 0.5 acres in size to convey to their children. The proposed four-lot <br /> subdivision would consist of three lots that are at least one-half acre each. The fourth lot would consist <br /> of more than one acre, and is where the applicants currently reside. <br /> The Windward Planning Commission, at its duly held public hearing on November 5, 2015, voted to <br /> recommend approval of this request. <br /> The applicants were present.
